  1. Ask yourself, what other Republican could withstand the riggors of such an interview? It was like the lightning round. Romney did not skip a beat. One word...IMPRESSIVE?

  3. Mitt Romney handled all the issues perfectly.

Kudlow went after him aggressively and Mitt Romney fired back.

    Great interview.

  4. I knew you guys at Right Speak would have this before everyone else. I was right.

What a great first and tough interview as an official candidate.

  5. Mitt Romney does tough interview. Doesn't cave under pressure. Mind a clear and crisp as ever.

    No one can come close.

  6. Wow! I am so impressed. He does not give in to pressure.... this was not a softball interview, and he did he have the opportunity to review the questions in advance.....like some wannabe politicians.

    Romney 2012!

  7. Terrific.

Looks like he'll be on the top of his game.

Good answers on RomneyCare (the "wet firecracker issue") and the birther nonsense.

  8. I'm so pleased that Mitt is officially in and what a way to kick off the campaign with such a great interview.

  9. Romney hit this one out of the ballpark. Kudlow can be intimidating with that auctioneer speed that is his trademark.

There is no doubt that this interview was to show others that he's ready for anything.

  10. new poll from rasmussen on 2012 race shows romney only guy leading obama at 45 -40 dones march 7-9 huck tied at 43-43 done march 14-17.

that ought to take the wind out of the CNN poll today.

guess is matters whether we want to beat our common enemy in Obama or not. Mitt and Huck are the only ones who can

  12. Corep,

Actually, according to the article, Mitt TRAILS Obama by 5 in that poll. I think the numbers got transposed to the chart incorrectly.

Mitt Romney, who just formally entered the race, trails the president by five

  13. Hard hitting questions. No notes. No complaints or snarky comments.

Mitt. The serious candidate for serious times.

  14. If you are a premium member at Rasmussen, you will see that the text is wrong and the chart is correct:

    Romney 45%
    Obama 40%

  18. RW and in the know,

so which is right the text or the chart?

  19. Perhaps a more effective debate format would be to have each candidate go through an interview such as this individually, one after the other, with the likes of Kudlow.

  20. Great interview by Romney. If Romney is the GOP nominee in '12, I look forward to the debates with Obama. Remember, Obama can't run on fuzzy themes like "hope and change", he will have to defend his poor record. I expect the debates to really tilt the electorate towards Mitt in 2012.

  21. Goodness Mitt, if you're not even going to address the Federal Reserve, (the real culprit for our economic troubles) then you're either really ignorant about the economy or a complete Keynesian fanboy. Both are more of the same, no thanks.

And the whole "china isn't being fair" with regards to trade? Translation: China has yet to be bullied by the regulation and threats of the US empire.

America does not practice free trade in the least today. The WTO is not a free trade organization. It is a simply a mechanism to keep nations in line with US foreign policy and imperialism.

True free trade is unregulated, completely free market, laissez-faire capitalism, without government intrusion or intervention whatsover. And Mitt wants to create a super-sctructure like the WTO? All that his ivy-league education taught him apparently is to support the failing system.
