Iowa Governor's Debate: Terry Branstad vs Chet Culver (10-21-10 video)

The Des Moines Register held the final Governor's candidate debate at noon on Thursday, October 21, 2010 prior to the November election.

Questions were posed by a panel of journalists, led by The Des Moines Registers political columnist Kathie Obradovich. Also on the panel: Dean Borg, Host and Moderator of Iowa Public Television's IOWA PRESS; O. Kay Henderson, Radio Iowa News Director.

Candidates participating in the debate are: Chet Culver (Democrat) and Terry Branstad (Republican).

    Branstad doesn't look sharp, but he is sharp. Culver spoke in generalities while Branstad spoke in specifics.

    Win goes to Branstad.

    I didn't have time to watch the whole thing. But what I watched, I have to agree that Branstad seemed sharper and more specific than Governor green jeans.
